Desert Explosion

Like most FX artists, I can appreciate a good explosion. I wanted to emulate something a bit more grounded in reality, so I grabbed reference from real footage.

Of course, in real explosions, there are many powerful, interconnected forces at play throughout the violently disturbed atmosphere. Different parts of the explosion need to push outwards, inwards, and around at initially rapid speeds.
